38mm is still on the small side.

 

so i should plug the hole on the turbo to the wastgate, take that line off and run a boost line form the wastgate to the intake and tee in to my line that my boost guage is on, if that dont work by a 50mm wastgate!!! thats what im geting from this?

what about the hole on the wastgate? how do u plug it, just a bolt i understand to plug the hole on the turbo, just do the same on the wastgate? ****.....this stuff is new to me

If you're using the Tial wastegate that STS sells, it has 2 ports on it. The bottom side (closer to the poppet) would run to the intake manifold. The top one needs to be left vented, or the wastegate will not open when it should.

I'm learning this stuff right now too.
