So in the September 2007 issue of Car and Driver on page 139 there is a preview of the 2009 VW Tiguan. In the article it states "The TSI 1.4 L unit does have VW's new twin charger technology which employs and Eaton twin screw supercharger for low end torque and a BorgWarner KKK turbocharger of high rev augmentation."
Sounds pretty cool right?
I tried to look it up on caranddriver's site but their review said nothing about it which sounds skeptical to me now. I'll try VW's but in any case it's cool to see these come out on DDriven applications. I know they are used on some military vehicles and race cars but haven't heard of them made by a big auto manufacturer! Can anyone find out more about this?

That's all I could find.I think the same thing everytime I see one of thier turbos. Makes me wonder how they get away with it, and what exactly it stands for.
So will this car be available in the states? It sounds like the blower coupled with the turbo's compressor displaces more than engine.

As far as I know they ran this, I read about it a year ago at least.
The torque curve was crazy, the supercharger torque peaked it at like 1500 and it is flat all th way to redline because when the super runs out of air the turbo picks up in its place.....sick!
