I plan to add a sts turbo kit to my 2000 silverado ZR4. I have the stock 5.3 liter which is fine with me. I had choose to stick with the the motor instead of doing a bigger swap because it only has 50,000 miles on it. i plan to build the motor for some serious boost and I wanted to know every thing u guys knew about buliding boosted engines, such as the types of crank or cams etc. Ive seen people put up good numbers on stock engines but im in the market for one of the baddest street trucks around. So any help well be welcomed thanks.

ZR4 INTERCEPTOR

It sounds like you will want a forged rotating assembly for what you have planned. Some common cranks are Eagle, Lunati, Callies. The cam will depend on what your engine specs turn out to be, most turbo cams use a wider lsa (~115) than N/A(~112). All of the STS dealers that I have talked to are very helpful and will set you up with whatever you need to know. You might also research a meth injection set-up for high boost levels.
