Turbo Exhaust?

MANDREL BENT or it doesn't matter. I've read a lot of threads where people mention Mandrel Bent is better & I've read threads of where when going Turbo that Exhuast isn't the that important as appossed to a S/C. Sooooo.....what is everybody's opinion, its gonna have all supporting mods soon enough, already on the way there before I go FI. Mandrel or NOT Important, thanks for any help & input.

From the turbo back the less restriction-the lower the pressure on the back side of the turbine-the faster it will spool- less pressure needed to spin the shaft. Mandrel bends are cheap if you are going to fab your own whole system, I don't think there are many non mandrel exhaust kits out there anyhow. You would almost have to go out of your way to use crimp bends, ie have a muffler shop bend it up.

Crimp bends actually reduce the diameter of the exhaust pipe which results in less flow. I searched around locally and found a stock duramax exhaust that is 3.5" mandrel bent for pretty cheap.

The easier the exhaust gets out the better. In any case when you have the chance to use mandrel bends verse the crinkle style, mandrel all the way.. It is even more important on a turbo app, vs SC due to the turbo being driven off of the exhaust.. Restriction is a nono

what about a cut-off.. it comes down from the turbo
