Thinking outloud, please help...

I am considering a custom setup and need some opinions please. Without giving to much away, i am trying to decide (assuming I move forward with the project) is which blower would be better suited for me. My two options right now are:

Whipple W200ax - 3.3L rear inlet
or
TVS2300 2.3L front inlet

My concern is that my current 2.3L blower is not getting the job done on the 8.1L so I am unsure if the TVS2300 would be able to or not. With the new 2" primary headers and open exhaust I think (contrary to my first impressions) that I may have lost a little boost compared to what I had with the stock exhaust manifolds and single 3" pipe. I was seeing as much as 6.5lbs before, now I have yet to see more than 5lbs consistantly now that i have it pretty well tuned back up. Without getting into the politics of the two companies, and just a basic "which blower would better suit me" situation.....what would you recommend and why?

Is there a blower manifold and drive setup to mate the TVS to the big block GM?

I recommend the Whipple. Why? Because I want one, it is 3.3 liters, and everybody knows that you want one.

The TVS2300 will move more air than a 2.3L Whipple without challenge. With your setup still not turning that many rpm you still aren't making that much of an airflow demand. I would say do the TVS2300 and a very mild cam. The TVS shouldn't have much trouble making 8psi on your setup which would make for monster. It would also do it with reasonable IAT's. If you were planning to spin yours with good heads and cam to 6k like the small block guys you'd be way out of blower with a TVS2300.

Why not go crazy with a 6-71 or other old school huge blower?....or do those only work with carbs?...
