Thinking of Going to a Front Mount Turbo

I'm 90% sure I'm going to a front mount turbo. I'm sick of blowing oil out the tail pipe. I don't think its my setup either just the nature of the beast. If its cold out the oil doesn't drain fast enough and I get various amounts of smoke after it gets warmed up. The colder it is the more it smokes. Otherwise I like the system. If anyone wants to buy my system minus the turbo let me know.

ASM Headers
All Piping back to the Turbo T6 Flange
Down Pipe and 5" Muffler
Oil Pump with Catch Can
Oil Lines to/from
Intake Piping Alum
Clamps
Intercooler
Intake Piping is Set up for SD tune (no MAF)

I won't be able to post pics for awhile as my son and I are off to Colorado to do some skiing for a few days. I'm just wondering if someone might be interested or if I should head to the scrap yard :jest:

When you get back, Dennis, gimme a shout -- We might be able to work out the oiling thing.

aside from the turbo what else is needed to make this kit complete
why so many oil problems
price?

It is a complete kit minus the turbo and boost control. The oiling problem is a cold weather problem and most likely stems from the vented catch can. I installed in prior to figuring out that the GT series turbos need to have the oil supply restricted with a .65 jet. I might remove the catch can after I get back from vacation.

You'll still need bigger injectors and a tune. Price I'm not sure about. The kit is a lot nicer that the STS system, so I wouldn't sell it for less than a used STS system... 3k with the ASM headers.

I'm all for doing it yourself, but damn! :barf:

that is the oddest setup i have ever seen, running the exhaust under the engine foreward of the radiator, then he cut that crossmember, which I'm sure was there for a reason....I'm all about custom work, but dont give turbos a bad rap with work like that!

I am no turbo know it all, but that intake tube going directly to the intake must get pretty damn warm with no intercooler of any sorts. That can't be that good for IAT's. Talking about junkyard's turbo.
