switched from supercharged to turbo
#11
my brother lives in stephens city and i used to live in winchester! i sold the d1 to buy the turbo. its a garrett 85mm t6 hybrid. im using truck manifolds that i turned forward. the downpipe goes from 5" to 4" and stays at 4" all the way out. im waiting for a wastegate so i can finish fabbing the hot piping. the charge piping is 2.5" and merge into a 3" pipe.
i ask being around here its all imports it seems like or diesels running around, nothing else.

Let me know how the heat treats your truck, I have a similar setup on my old '94, but I'm using both manifolds flipped with twin T76's.
Only thing I'm concerned about is underhood temps.
Nice setup!

when i first bought the 383 rotating assembly it was one of the better deals going on at the time. i couldnt afford an ls2 or iron block setup then. its been a great motor so far! i never really pushed it to far with the d1sc because of the problems i was having with belt slip.

tonight i installed the finished section of the hot piping, connected the last piece of coolant piping, did an oil & filter change, went back and double checked a bunch of stuff. tomorrow i will make the last weld, wrap & paint it, reconnect the intake piping, add coolant and do a couple more things that i cant think of right now! im very close to cranking this thing!
