no, my brother isnt into high performance. he does have an 03 chevy thats been lifted. its got the same wheels my trucks got, exept he has mud tires on his. its got a stock 5.3 with a catback. ive offered to put a cam in it for him before!

last night i got a couple more loose ends taken care of. i had to relocate the pcm. i got the coil packs mounted where i want them now. all im waitng for now is for the wastegate , some gaskets, and the plugwires!

I like the 5 inch going to 4 inch idea. interesting, I definitely want to see more pics for sure.

Let me know how the heat treats your truck, I have a similar setup on my old '94, but I'm using both manifolds flipped with twin T76's.

Only thing I'm concerned about is underhood temps.

well, its getting close! i welded up 99% of the charge piping, relocated the pcm, and made up the plug wires. im still waiting on the manifold gaskets.

when i first bought the 383 rotating assembly it was one of the better deals going on at the time. i couldnt afford an ls2 or iron block setup then. its been a great motor so far! i never really pushed it to far with the d1sc because of the problems i was having with belt slip.

tonight i installed the finished section of the hot piping, connected the last piece of coolant piping, did an oil & filter change, went back and double checked a bunch of stuff. tomorrow i will make the last weld, wrap & paint it, reconnect the intake piping,add coolant and do a couple more things that i cant think of right now! im very close to cranking this thing!
