Supercharged exhaust
Have a 06 1500hd with the 6.0.... exhaust is 100% stock. Muffler is 2 in 1 out stock muffler.
have a radix mp112 on it right now and it's time for some exhaust help..... I wanna cut out the cats, add a x pipe, but my question is where to go from there..... run stock pipes or run new 3" pipes? keep the duals or Y into a one 4"? if I keep it duals, 2 mufflers or a magnaflow 2 in 1 out where the out would be a 4"? I'm not looking for a strip truck.... it's a everyday driver that pulls my boat in the summer.... any help would be greatly appreciated. |
May as well do headers. I don't see a ton of gain if you keep the stock manifolds because the truck already has 2.75-3in tubing for each bank all the way back to the muffler and that is a ton of pipe side for 1 bank on an engine that's probably making sub 400whp.

Long tubes, free flowing exhaust with a non chambered muffler is the best with forced induction.
Torqstorm |
Long tubes (stainless steel of course) and boost operated cutouts. So it will sound stock most of the time.
