Default Stock Manifolds Front Turbo?

ok i searched for some info on anyone using the stock manifold on the passenger side, turned around and used for a turbo set up. i cant find any reason why no one does this with the trucks. i dont see any reason why this cant be done.

anyone care to shed some light on this one for me?

if someone were to make the hot parts necessary to use the stock manifold, and mount a turbo up, would people buy it?

crossover, gaskets, stock manifold to turbo flange adapter, downpipe...

i could make this happen...

Its been done. W2W did it and documented it in Will Handzel's book. And yes, people would buy it assuming the price was reasonable and the quality was there. Lots of F-Body guys have gone with the 6L truck exhaust manifolds route with awesome results...

I use both factory manifolds in the factory location. The turbo is just mounted low. I think I'm going with twins when I get off my *** and put the 408 in. I should still be able to use the factory manifolds though.

driver or passenger side? i was just thinking of flipping the passenger side around, using the stock driver's side manifold, and making a connector pipe and a collector...

drivers side, using a fliped passangers side manifold. The other side is a tubular shorty header that I had. They both fit very nice.

cool, so a shorty on the driver's, and stock one flipped on the passenger side?

i think im going to do this, and make jigs for the crossover, and collector, and downpipe.

would people pay $750 for ceramic coated hot parts kit?

Yup, considering most that sell just hot parts are north of $2000.
