Default Rear mount turbo from scratch

How hard would it be to install a turbo on a 06 4.8L without a kit? Just buying the turbo then all the ducting and inter cooler separately and making your own "kit" Have any of you done this?

i had started to peice a kit together for a 6.5 diesel shortbed truck i had (85)
i have a 90 degree t3 flange to 3"vband for the "hot side" and was going to make all the other peices using a mandrel bend pack from
Tube Bending & Fabrication - Columbia River Mandrel Bending. i also bought the exact same brand oil pump sts uses to return the oil to the engine, aswell as the anti- drain back valve from grainger... I would say,

There was a set of low mount hot pipes in the classified.Would be a good head start if they are still around.
