this combo has always worked well for me, never had any problems with excessive IAT's, it seems both recipes work fine in the appropriate climates.

i like the ww and water combo too if you dont have to worry about freezing.

a few quotes from redlines site.

Water has twice the heat transfer capability when compared to 50% glycol antifreeze/coolant in water.

BENEFIT SUMMARY
Doubles the wetting ability of water
Improves heat transfer
Reduces cylinder head temperatures
May allow more spark advance for increased torque
Reduces rust, corrosion and electrolysis of all metals
Provides long term corrosion protection
Cleans and lubricates water pump seals
Prevents foaming
Reduces cavitation corrosion
Complexes with hard water to reduce scale

thanks for the reminder. i think i have mostly water in my intercooler and need to swap that out.
