Default radix IAT sensor

I am installing a radix kit on my 04 5.3 silverado and in the manual it says to skip to step 187, which skips past the IAT sensor. Do I need the IAT sensor for my model year? There are a couple of spot in the manual that tell you to skip step you need to take, is this another one? Thanks, Rob

I'm not sure I will have to look when I go home for lunch. I know it 2003 to 2006 1500. I printed it off. Does it apply my model though? Thanks BlownChevy
