Questions on the On3 single turbo
Just have some questions for the On3 single turbo kit for the 01 silverado 1500 4.8l
I don't know much about performance but i want to know when buying the kit do i really need to purchase the recommendations its informing me.(9 Total) and do i really need the twin 320lph fuel pump assembly and return fuel system upgrade. just want to increase power to about the 450hp to 550hp range. What all things do i mainly need for the setup.

The same still applies, you need the same stuff talked about.
Fuel system including larger pump, atleast 80-90lb hr injectors for pump gas, a 2 or 3 bar map sensor etc etc.
Then you must factor is that the stock 4L60e transmission is garbage and needs to be swapped for a stronger 4L80e if you are really wanting that 600hp goal. Then the rear end needs upgrading too, stock G80 will just explode at some point. Also depending on motor choice the stock connecting rods on early LS motors (pre-2003-2004) have weaker connecting rods that won't support much over 500-550hp. You can play with fire but it's not a good idea.
And honestly if 600hp is the end goal buy a much better turbo kit to get you there quicker with less hassle. Consider a decent turbo camshaft to make power easier to get.

Fuel pump walbro255 is fine. But next size up will be the roughly the sane money.
Injectors
Tuning (either software or shop tuned)
Final exhaust
Misc gauges.

^I'd have to agree with Boost-freak, do not use the on3 hotside. wastegate placement is awesome, but you're gonna have a bad time with plugs and wires. I just got done doing my 4.8 turbo, here is a short list of what I did.
ls6 cam/springs
MP T70 .96 a/r
KB style hotside that I built(thanks KB for paving the way for amateur fabricators)
Treadstone intercooler
VS racing WG/BOV
SD 80's
EFI source 3 bar
4l80e/3k stall
That's it, cheap and easy. Im sitting at 350 tire on 7lbs of boost(WG spring only). Not legendary by any means but considering my truck dynoed at 225 bone stock ill take 18hp per psi of boost.
Now if I could make a recommendation, buy a log manifold and a baby mig welder and fab the hotside yourself. You'll learn a new skill and be proud that you built something. To address the goal of 500hp tire, look up Sloppy Mechanics 4.8 Colorado, he made exactly what you plan to on the cheap. Just copy and paste.
