Procharger Intercooler Deflector...
#1
Since I bought my procharger kit used 2+ years ago, I haven't had a air deflector on the bottom of my procharger kit. I think that is a big part of seeing much higher IATs that what most people post. Any suggestions on places I might find it local? Best I can tell, its just a large, thick piece of rubber. I suppose I could order from procharger, but I bet they charge an arm and leg for it.

One cheap place that I know sells Rubber Raw Materal is MSC. You can make your own. Here is the link. Hope this helps. http://www1.mscdirect.com/CGI/GSDRVS...55678&SISRC=KG

If ATI wants too much for theirs, you could also use a thin sheet of plastic and some 1/8"x1 aluminum or steel strap to mount it. Make sure it can flex or deflect from hitting the ground.

What type of IAT are you seeing? I have the 3 core and I am seeing about 10° above ambient.
You could always make some sort of deflector or I was thinking about spacing the back of mine down so the IC would sit at a slight angle and catch more air.
Mine is lowered 2-4 and the deflector doesn't hang down that low.

Mine was a rubber flap. They guy I bought my kit from used to work for procharger and said believe it or not it helps alot. my intercooler now is setup the same was as the procharger was. I have an aluminum piece hanging down now to deflect the air, Im aslo installing a pair of 10" fans on top of it. especially for slowmoving traffic.
Another idea i had was get a 5 or 6" dia pvc pipe and cut it down the middle so it worked more like a scoop.

you can pick up a real thick rubber mud flap from O'Reilly and cut a piece off...
they're for big rigs...they're not on the sales floor...you have to ask for them...I know we have them at the store in Hiram...
I think they're like $8 or so...
if you have the Procharger FMIC, it should have a place to mount it...just a few bolts, nuts & washers and you're good to go...

As for IATs, during warm days I can easily get 20* above ambient without really getting on it.
