Procharger F1R LSX 50mm Cog Drive Kit
3 Attachment(s)
This is my 03 SilvySS with a TSP 408 and the new Procharger cog drive kit. It installed easy and the only issuses was with the 6.0 iron block was not drilled and taped for the 2 of the power steering bracket bolts. I have a 80tooth crank cog and a 45tooth blower cog which is ATI's super pulley that lets the blower free when you decel. I am maxing the blower out at 7000rpms and have only had the truck to 6800 so far. I need a bigger intercooler because mine is a huge restriction 3" A2A intercooler 24x12x3 core. Im only seeing 13psi (8200ft DA today here at 4500ft high desert)and barley cools which I expected as its rated at 800cfm. A2W is in the works with a 2000cfm rated intercooler 2 large heat exchanges and a 7gallon tank.. Headed to do some testing this weekend if I can keep IAT's down under 150. And yes the oil slinger has been re clock but not the tag for those of you who noticed.

Your video said you were running a 233/239 112 LSA cam. I realize that the altitude is knocking your boost down some but 13psi seems really low for a F1R at close to redline on a 408 (I was just reading a post on LS1Tech on a 347 running 25lbs with his F1R). I wonder if the cam's low LSA and somewhat tight int/ext duration spread is bleeding off some of your boost? You can definetely hear all the overlap in your videp. I could be totally wrong but it seems a majority of the Procharger guys run a wider spread (8-10+) and larger LSA (14-16+). This came to mind becasue you mentioned you thought your FMIC was a major restriction. It probably is on the small side but if it was that restricitve, I would imagine your boost would be even higher. A2W will rock in the high desert with the 2 heat exchangers and a 7g tank. I'm sure that 150 AIT is killing your timing. Again, awesome build and love the sound of the F1R at idle. Rick |
We only have 80 kpa of atmospheric pressure up here. So add another 2 or so pounds...
MFIC you planing on a trip to the track any time soon? |

MFIC you planing on a trip to the track any time soon? Rick yes u are correct the cam dose bleed a ton of boost but that dosent mean it's down on power :) 1DirtyZ on ls1tech maxed out his f1r at 12psi from a big cam and a 427 or 408 and ran low 9's. |
I knew you would finish before me, sounds and looks awesome. Congrats man.

Excellent point. A fat cam and great flowing heads will show much less boost.
Once again, awesome build! Rick You could say the heads flow good TSP L92 w/ 75cc chambers and 375cfm at .600 lift :) |
