If you are in-fact blowing out the spark, you'll need to tighten up the gap. You want to run as much gap as you can(for driveability), so go a little bit at a time.

I'd also recommend switching to a non-projected tip. I don't recall the part number off hand, but I'm running 7's non-projected, at around .025 gap.

If you have time can you tell me what you are running. When I was tuning with Nelson he told me i was blowing out the spark but only at wide open throttle. I thought the gaps had changed. I took them down to around 30 but still doing it.

I have the BR7EF non-projected that I just put in gapped at .025, which is pretty well what they were at out of the box. I would think you would be OK at .030 as suggested. I never had any issues with the MP112 on the 5.3 at up to 12 psi with TR6 plugs gapped at .032 or .035. Are you seeing this when driving or did Nelson pick it up on the dyno? What's your AFR at WOT?

This was during a street tune on the freeway. AFR was about 11.4 at wot but varies here and there.

also a speed density tune...if it matters.

BR7EF non-projected at .025 gap, WOT AFR at 11.7-11.8, open loop speed density.

Thanks AK. I just ask for BR7EF....or does it relate to the year and motor size?
