Were there any issues with the 87mm that was on it? I thought Pat had a LS2 90mm on it?

The symptoms his is displaying are different then others, others are having the issue at WO. ETC area scaler needs adjusted, some airflow tables etc.
I'm gonna check wires and such. On my last truck it threw codes right away. This one waited a few hundred miles before it acted up.

Never had a problem put of it with the 87mm. I got it with that tb on there. He had an ls2 tb on there at one point but it gave him problems.

Had an mp112 with 90mm jtube on a 5.3. Tried an ls3, ls2 and 87mm tb plus 3 different xlinks and even changed tb wiring harness but never got it completely gone. Had a Nelson mail order tune on it

As mentioned he had fits with the 90mm LS2 TB. That's the one he had on there when he had it on the dyno but later it started acting up. Similar issue like Gadgetized was having. I think some other members had this issue as well.

The wiring is sound on that truck. I personally watched him strip it back and check it. There were a few broken wires at the TB connector and he repaired them correctly Per the GM TSB. We spent 2 hours at the dealer going through every box looking for the correct Pins for the TB connector.

He swapped TB's, tac modules, and pedals with no luck. He replaced the DR.X harness as well and kept having issues.

As soon as he went back to the 87mm the issue stopped.

The issues may be able to be corrected in the tune. I never got a chance to scan the tune and see if we could try adjusting anything. I am not a tuner by any means. No one else could point us in the right direction either regarding aftermarket Throttle Bodies and making adjustments in the tune. He even tried contacting the Tuner and he was not very helpful.

Very smart mods you just did on the truck. Hopefully it works out good for you. That truck is solid for sure, work out any kinks and you should be good to go.

Went ahead and ordered HPTuners last night. Figured im gonna need to learn this stuff at sometime so why not? Woulda been great to have a simple bolt on truck to try and learn this stuff on but I think I can handle it. At least I can do some data logging and send it to my tuner. I have no doubt that with all the help offered on this site this tb issue can be figured out. Good thing this truck isnt my dd!
