Default New trick 4" intercooler and 03+ swap

Making some changes to truck, hopefully for the good. Been running the standard 3" intercooler for 3 years now, made it into the 10s with the 4.8, but after adding new turbo felt it was time to upgrade. Also went ahead started doing the 03+ sierra swap to modernize truck. A little progress so far.

It will be cool to see what kind of gains you get from it.

Iats will have to wait a little while on, while truck is done running wise besides new tune, waiting on paint match lower valance to get here before I have that done. Fitment- I had planned on doing the 03+ swap at same time so I had both 99-02 and 03+ stuff here. 99-02 will not clear grille, you would have to notch grill, or cut out A-frame and possibly front bumper too. 03+ clears grill perfectly, and no cutting of A-frame, clears front bumper too. When valance gets here I will post up with that, its either going to clear very bottom or not, if not I will notch it , but should not be much.

It will clear. The lower ic should be 1-2" above bottom on lower plastic.

Correct on the 99-02 stock grills. Just not much room there.
Grill is thick in that area.

The 03+ Chevy grills. Can fit up to a 6" core the minor trimming on bumper and bumper pad. Nothing on the stock grill needs to be touched.

Gonna be interesting to see what your boost and time does swapping out. Boost should go up with same spring. And you should need a bunch more fuel.
At least that's what the customers have told me.

did you have to do any modifications to get the trans cooler to fit between the condenser and the a frame?

That's the radiator. He doesn't have a/c. It's been removed.
