Default Meth nozzle location idea for my setup

What do you think about spraying below the blower outlets, pre intercooler core, on my setup? Any reasons this wouldn't work? I have never seen any effect on IAT by spraying pre blower and haven't seen anyone else with a blower that has.

Spraying pre blower my IAT climb rate definitely slowed down, but now my spray bars sit right beside the intercooler in the manifold. Ive never ran it without the nitrous also spraying but saw a 50 degree drop in temps under 15psi of boost with a 150shot at the end of the 1/8th.

Done lots of Ford lightning post intercooler.
If doing spray bars do small holes for each runner.
Say .020 - .036. In the bars. Aiming hole 90' against air flow not with it. Gives better break up. Your fittings need to hold a nitrous jet to allow you to tune / adjust it.
Lots of methanol psi is needed.

Do they see any IAT effect with it blowing right into the ports? Actual cylinder charge will be cooler, but I am thinking that with the sensor being behind the spray, the ECM will not know it?

The were not aimed at port flow. Think more up.
Feed was not. Back when I did that at the nitrous co. no feed back was good feed back.
Only time we got a call was if a problem had happened.

Injecting nitrous had feed back.
100shot = 90 increase
150shot = 175 increase
200shot = almost 300. Increase

If your air temps are hot with lots of volume (big hp) and you are trying to cool them down.
It's going to take a good amount of methanol spread over a large area to see a true temp drop. Not a false one.

I think that would be the best place. I think a higher percentage of the alcohol will evaporate in the hotter air, and what droplets are left will splash the intercoolers and make them cooler. With a boiling point of 148° F, I think heat will be removed more vigorously from air that is above that temperature than would be removed by simple evaporation of methanol at lower temperatures.

It would be interesting to see the cooling effect of straight methanol as the working fluid inside the intercooler.

Spraying post intercooler is effective but your IAT sensor will never see it so neither will the computer. Do a direct port setup, I don't personally feel the spray bar method yields the most accurate port distribution, if you fed both ends of the spray bar I think it would help but...

Why do people care so much if the sensor "sees" the colder air or not?

I prefer it while I'm tuning. I like to be able to use the IST table as a little bit of a failsafe if the meth isnt working. It also helps to identify exactly when it comes on a little easier.

I don’t care if it sees it, but Grant asked if the ecm would see it. Half the people out there spray on the damn sensor and see a false reading anyway.
