meth kit ?

What all is included in a meth kit that makes them worth $250-$500? Could a person piece their own kit together?

Good question. There is some good profit in them IMO. What would be hard to piece one together are the proprietary controllers and methanol safe pumps and hardware.

What kind of controllers are there? I can make my own tank, find a meth pump on ebay for around 75-$90. What else is there? Couldn't you just turn the pump on yourself with a switch?

Most cars should aim for 15% of their total fuel flow. Some more extreme setups run as much as 25% of their total fuel flow.
the pump and injector should not excede this ammount!
This is from a non sponsor site but good info about included hardware.
"Base" injection kit incorporates a boost switch that activates the system at a specific PSI. It’s adjustable from 2-10 psi or 6-30psi, but you can run up to 250 PSI through the switch, so it’s very reliable. This system will turn on at a level you set and stay on until you drop below that level. It’s On/Off. It can’t dial in exact flow, but it can get you within a range.

Stage 2 "Progressive" kits offer high functionality and performance, the ability to vary the flow based on inputs (maf, map, tps, ait, any 0-5v source). Most users run it off of separate GM style map sensor if there car does not already have a map sensor. With the Stage 2 Kit you set a starting boost and a full boost and the system will progressively adjust the flow between those two points.

I hope that helps! Not sure if its what you are looking for!

I have a SMC kit. You can adjust when it comes on and how much it sprays. It has leds to indicate when the system is on, when it is spraying, and when the meth tank is running low. Well worth the money in my book. I had a short last year that fried the controller. It cost 65.00 to have the controller repaired updated and shipped to and from.

You could piece together a low dollar on/off kit with a hobbs switch but the progressive controllers in the stage 2 type kits is where the value is. My meth kit operating perfectly is the difference between worry-free and a $1k+ rebuild. IMO, my system is a dog without the Meth.

If your on a budget, buy a used progressive kit. I just picked up a alkycontol kit ($$$) but my first used Snow stage ll kit ran about $325.

 Three years on the controller, lost the pump after 2 years and they sold me a new and improved pump at their cost. :thumb: best deal out there if you ask me and stupid simple to hook up and use. :)
