Manual boost controller?
 

I just got a manual boost controller and I'm here looking to install it. Do I have to drill and tap the turbo? Or can I run it from the intake vacuum port?

You can run it from the intake, but it will work much better right off the turbo. Im sure most wastegate makers recommend a check valve for the gate so you dont pull vacuum on it.
