Default Lingenfelter Supercharged 2014 Silverado Completion & 2014 Corvette LT1 Development

For several years Lingenfelter has been working with forced induction direct injection engine as part of our own in house development work and in the form of consultancy work for other OEM suppliers. With the advent of the Gen 5 direct injected V8 engines the team at LPE looked forward to the challenge eagerly. Following the delivery of our 2014 Silverado at the beginning of June, baseline chassis dyno testing produced runs on gasoline with the peak power of 302 HP & 332 lb-ft. On E85 that increased to 321 HP and 355 lb-ft.

Over the months stock components were obtained to better understand the potential limitations and to identify which components and systems would require modifications for our packages at varying power levels. From this analysis of actual parts and GM 3D CAD data, new parts requirements were identified and shared with our strategic partners and component suppliers. The objectives being to develop new parts and packages for both the Gen 5 truck engine families, along with the 2014 Corvette LT1 engine which shares Gen 5 architecture and the new E92 ECU with the L83 & L86 truck engines.

Prototype camshafts for both truck and Corvette are already on hand, and Lingenfelter has already started cylinder head port flow development work & CNC programs for both cylinder head types which will be completed soon. Along with that work many upgraded engine components for the DI engine are already in process or completed.

E92 calibration work has been ongoing for some time and the excellent performance and drivability of the Lingenfelter modified Magnuson TVS1900 supercharged Silverado reflect this.

The whole team at LPE eagerly awaits delivery of our C7 Corvette with many components ready to be installed. As ever with the introduction of new vehicles and powertrains there are exciting times ahead and we will keep you posted.

IS that the High pressure fuel pump on the driver's side above the valve cover? What else needed to be moved out of the Valley to be able to fit the maggie? Also are those HP pumps electric or belt driven?

Looking good and nice numbers so far!

Yup, that's what I was referring to. Good to know that nothing in the valley cover of the Gen V motors needs to be moved. That woulda sucked!

Thanks for the link, very informative!
