Default lets talk STALL CONVERTERS w/ turbo's

what is the best company

YANK
CIRCLE D
PRECISION INDUSTRIES
TCI

someone i don't know about or maybe forgotten???

i am wanting a lockup converter for a 4l80e to go along with my 408ci motor and Precision turbo PT88 trying for around 900hp w/ meth

i have had a YANK 2800 in a 4l60e with a 370ci nitrous motor and loved it
i have had a PRECISION INDUSTRIES 2400 in a 4r100 with a 331ci and a whipple charger did good
i have had a CIRCLE D 2800 in same truck as the PI converter and really liked it

so what would be the best converter for me...

Circle D's top of the line 4l80e converter is beautiful. I have seen a few too many PI converters fail for me to trully say that are bullitproof. I would go in this order:
Circle D>Yank>Precision>TCI.

With that said, I'm on my 2nd Yank not from failure. I just love them.

I've never been a fan of yank but some ppl like them. I ran a TCS converter and liked that. Some other guys on here have had success with them too.

If you've never heard of them. TCS stands for the converter shop. You should check them out too

The yank is hard to beat in the 60' but a can't hold lock up under WOT. If you want the lockup and big mph on the top end go with the circle D or precision but you might give up some 60'. I have been 1.42 in the 60' with my pro yank 3400 370CI all boost.
