Arrow intercooler / intake rebuilt ...

i got tired of the intake it was just too big and got in my way when ever i needed to work on some thing so i decided to cut it down and mount it in a new location.....
you can kinda see how it looked b4 , it ran all the way over to the stock air box location, just cluttered the engine bay ...

now what it looks like ...

i also been working on coupler LESS intercooler set up for a very long time gathering peices here and there and this is what i cam up with . using 2 silicon couplers only ( at the head unit, and at the throttle body) everything is in its stock position, nothing was relocated . although you had to cut the headlight bezel up pretty good to route the tubing through it.

the mock up...

after the welding ,raw right after it got welded hasn't been cleaned up or polished yet ...

yes ALUMINIUM v clamps welded into place...

the intercooler is a 4" core and all of the tubing is 3" if that tells you how thick that thing is.
a lil up close action of the weld job , i love to show these off...

i have a couple more trix im working on but thats all im going to show you for now. the piping wont be installed till i get a s/d tune if you were wondering where the maf was going to go.

Those are some pretty clean welds... I would let you weld me up some custom cold side piping if you wanted to. Do you bend the tubing yourself or are you just cutting down pre-bent pieces? Is there room behind the IC for the transmission cooler to be mounted in the factory location?

piping i bought of ebay in a kit, and a friend of the family welded it he retired from northrop after 10+ years welding on aircraft and stuff so he is real good at this stuff even with my crapy cuts i made he made it look ( . Y . ) . but if you had some stuff layed out he would weld it up for you just pm me and ill hook u up with him hes a cool guy. as far as the trans cooler i forgot that i cut the bracket it was on and flipped the bracket so it sits about 1-2 inches closer to the radiator so it gave it some room between the intercooler and the trans cooler, i can post pics if you need to see what im talking about.
