and with only 10lbs boost, someone like me doesn't necessarily need the added octane...

this video shows how quickly the system starts to work. it also has a reservoir under the hood although the hood is open and there is no drive time. its all interesting to me...

I'm working on installing one of these types of water chiller systems into my truck right now... I do a lot of long driving quick burst runs (TX2k style) so adding ice doesn't do anything for me other then dyno sessions it just doesn't last long enough by the time I do a pull. Anyways I'm going g to be using the system in conjunction with meth so my results will always be good. I'm basically just using it to bring my water temps back down so it's ready to go again for the next pull.

This is interesting to me as i'm 98% street use. If this actually works like it claims and doesn't drip during competition mode for track use, then i wouldn't mind having it one day.

LBSBLOWN has been running a Killer Chiller for some time. I'm considering doing a kit at some point, and when I contacted him recently, he said his is still in use and it was a good mod.

To maximize the cooling not being lost to engine heat.
Runna composite tank. Aluminum
Or steel will absorb unnecessary engine heat.

Just like to update that my Zl1 was the quickest and most consistent 5th gen at the local club track rental. I also won a trophy bracket race and went to the 1/8th finals in the pro bracket class last weekend. The chiller is a game changer in this scenario and works flawlessly! Couldn't be happier and proud to buy a chiller from the USA!

Keep in mind they are 8,500 DA… This ZL1 is running 10" lower and 2.5" upper! That is 39deg IAT2 after a 1/4 mile pass on service road.

This may not look like much to you but I see 04 Silverado, CTS V, GTO, G8, SS Sedan, Camaro adapters and our Progressive Freon Distribution Fitting. We are also doing a new CNC Freon Distribution Fitting and temperature display adapter that will reduce our assembly time by hours. We are shipping a 04 Silverado 19" Competition Xtreme Chiller this week I will try and get a kit picture. Competition mode is no condensation on track with 100% cooling to IAT.

Basically everyone that overspins the lsa blower uses these.

I have debated this topic on other forums, i think in real track day use like road course not very effective.

if you are willing to gamble that our humidity wont get you booted off the 1320 track then go ahead, for fun runs ok but if i was at risk of being dq because of condensation no go, plus you still need enough hx tank capacity to do waterbox and the run.

I do like this option for a street car though, and looking forward to results with a local whippled SS running this kit.

A local guy at are track has a kennebell lightning, he's a bracket racer and was after consistency, he logs coolent temp, oil temp, air temp for every pass. He put the killer chiller on to get air temps where he want's them for every pass. He told me once he has seen the ait's at 40 degree's below ambient at the end of a pass.
