Default Installed Procharger, now surging in lower rpms

Hey guys,
I bought a procharger ps1c unit, bracket, and intercooler from a guy around town and have built all the pipes and everything else around it on my truck. It is a 2012 Silverado 5.3 flex fuel. We have started tuning, and everything is looking good with the exception of the surging it does from idle up to about 2,000. I placed the blow off valve between the intercooler and the throttle body on piping. One question me and my brother had is that I used the K&N piping from their CAI kit to house the MAF from the throttle body until it makes it's first turn where the factor air filter would have been located at to go down to the bottom of the truck. This piping is a 3.5" where it looks like procharger went with a 3" piping in this area. Could that extra half inch allow much more air to go past the MAF where it would make the truck surge at lower rpms?

Please post a picture of what you are talking about and your piping.

Here is a pic of the pipe that has the MAF in the bottom. This pipe is 3.5" in diameter. Is everybody else running a 3" pipe to put their MAF in? I'm not sure what the pipe size is that comes in the procharger kit.

Crazy question, but since the MAF is located at the bottom instead of on the side, could I get off readings from the MAF because of that? Especially being that close to the 90 degree bend.

All codes have been turned off in the tune like the P0068, etc. N/A the truck runs fine but with all the piping hooked up, the truck surges.

Blown-you think the throttle body might be malfunctioning with the added pressure from the supercharger?

To add more information, the truck will stabilize the idle and then start surging again. My thought process is the MAF is bot getting a good reading at the bottom of the pipe just after a 90* turn like the Procharger kit is setup on the side instead.

Are you tuning using the MAF or SD tune? Sounds like you have a vacuum leak somewhere between the MAF and the TB

No like said from above poster I think you have a leak near throttle body. Also when your tuning did you tune your tables for idle?

Can you describe what's going on in detail? My truck would do that after the converter install and especially after the blower. If at idle, i'd give it some gas, engine speed would rise like normal then would go down to about 800 rpm then it would surge up to about 1200 and hang there, then slowly settle down to idle speed. I had to adjust the max idle area to get it to idle without surging. Google "e38 idle tuning" and there's a great tuning tutorial on the efi live forum, might want to check that out.
