Default IAT sensor placement

Just ordered a open element IAT sensor... I'm planning on tapping the intake manifold, maybe where the pcv used to pull off the drivers side valve cover? My reasoning is a few months ago I installed meth about 5" from the throttle body and my maf sensor is before that, so I can't be getting accurate IAT temp readings right? I'm gonna cut the last two wires in the MAF and wire them up to the new IAT sensor I'm putting in the intake manifold.... Should give me far more accurate IAT readings correct?

I've seen people place them in the piping right after the meth, but to me this would give inaccurate IAT readings? Due to the fact that it's basically drenching the IAT sensor in meth.

Try to put it as far away from the meth as you can

This what I was thinking... The place in the top of the intake manifold is dead center, so it's about 15" away from where it sprays in the pipe... I'm gonna look for a nice spot in the rear area of the intake manifold to put it.

Most setups I've seen have the IAT sensor really close to the meth, usually in the piping somewhere. Will placing the sensor in the rear or top of the intake manifold produce more accurate/better readings?

Should see some good results with a retune, seeing how before my IAT was reading off the MAF... Before the meth injection!
