Default I think I finally found the cause of my random oil burning

I decided to take the compressor housing off the turbo tonight and let the truck run for awhile and see what I saw. I've seen a lot of oil inside my air filter and compressor housing, but was never sure if it was coming from the turbo or from my PCV connection. Tonight pretty well confirmed it to me.

In the two videos below, if you watch the bottom right side of the turbo, you can see oil start to seep out and run down when I rev the engine up. In the second one I wipe my finger across, and towards the end decide that it's freaking hot! You can see my wipe start slow and I pretty much jerk my finger off at the end

BTW, I smell really bad like exhaust now.

I couldn't see the video because it was still being processed but I did see a couple others you had previously posted and they were very good. Especially they one against the Porsche.

I noticed you had the SSR intake. I have one in the trunk and wanted to know if it is an easy swap. What do you need to switch from the stock truck one to the SSR?

I don't remember running a Porsche....you might be looking at someone else's videos

The SSR swap was not a direct swap for me, but it might be easier for you since you're DBW. I had to make a throttle cable bracket and find a way to adapt the stock truck return-style fuel rails to this manifold. The SSR fuel rails are returnless, so I couldn't use them. I also had to find a way to adapt my existing evap solenoid to the manifold. The SSR uses an evap solenoid that mounts to the fuel rails and has a separate tube that runs to a fitting on the manifold, rather than the solenoid mounting directly to the manifold.

Hahah I kept all my parts tonight

I'm actually happy that I saw what I did. I've been trying to figure out where the damn oil is coming from for awhile, just occurred to me tonight to try this. Now I have some answers!!

Probly just need a restrictor in the oil feed line. Every turbo vehicle I do gets one.In the past I has i vehicle that would dump alot of oil out of the seals.Put in a .052 nitrous jet and stopped that problem completely and has been running in the 800+rwhp for 2 years now. You can ussually tell if it needs one by smoke out the exhaust, expecially during decel.
