How much timing are you running on pump gas?
 
Well, how much and what is your setup? I've been talking to the guy who is going to tune for me in a couple days, and he is telling me I won't be able to run hardly enough timing at 10lbs on pump gas to make it worth staying at that boost level. He also sells snow meth kits at his shop lol. Anyhow, lets hear it.

stock 5.3, 91 pump

LQ4 with 14#'s of boost. 93 octane with meth, 20.5 degrees of timing.

I ran 9 pounds on a stock 5.3 w/17-18*. Same on my 6L. No methanol. A pound of boost at 5* is still more HP than less boost.
On my GTO the methanol kit picked me up another 40hp so maybe its not such a bad idea :)

9.5:1 compression and pump 93 octane
20* @ 11psi
20* @ 14psi with meth

I only run 12* @ 7.5 psi on a 9.5-1 cr. It makes a ton of power. See sig.

370ci, 9.75:1, 12# at 22* in southern summer heat with no knock on 93oct(10% ethanol).

Stock LQ4 with 10lbs of boost on 91 octane, 14.5 degrees with agressive knock retard table setup. 12lbs or higher I run 92/110 mix and drop to 12'ish degrees air/fuel around 11.8:1. This is in a 8klb crewcab on 35's also
