Yea go 80e. I paid 600 for the 80e, 160? for shift kit, 950 circle d converter. And that's all you need for a whole lot of fun.

Im over 500 hp with a 4.8 at 12 lbs on the stock flex fuel pump. No special wiring. This is with meth disconnected and only 12 degrees of timing.

About the 4L80...has anyone got the NNBS 4l60 transfer case to mate to a 4L80 trans? I remember someone tried it and couldn't get the two to mate up. I'd want to go this route also...

Ok guys I'll get an 80. I better read up on the swaps and get a check list ready.

Where are u guys picking them up for 600-800 bucks? Local junk yards or online?

Great write up but no one has a 4x4 80 swap to work correctly. I need to keep my 4 wheel working and one of the major reasons for getting a built 60
