Default Help me pick a Turbo. Trick stage iii ?

Been back and forth on what i want to do with this truck. 2003 1500HD with the LQ4 6.0 liter. Was thinking lsa blower, maybe just a cam swap for now, or Go Turbo!

Really leaning towards the turbo. I won't have to dig into the engine, and it looks like the kits by the sponsors are pretty refined and go right on without a lot of hassle. Pretty sure Id be happy with just another 100-150 hp. Likely be on low boost and definitely pump gas. Just wanna make these hopped up diesels really work for it!

So........i am thinking the bw s366 might work, but is probably small for the 6.0 liter. How about the entry level precison 72/75. Seems to be about the same price. Either one physically larger than the other or regarded as more reliable?

The base turbo you get with the stage 3 kit is all you'll ever need if you only want another 150hp.

The turbo won't even be putting up a sweat at 450whp. If you bought that kit, then the proper fuel system, it would rip and be plenty of fun.

Yeah. The standard turbo looks like it would save me a little $$$ and easily hit my goals. Any $$$ i can save would definitely help me justify the need for a turbo truck. But at the same time, I didn't want to be cheap and pass up on a precision or borg warner turbo which I am guessing are considered a little more name brand/ better made?

Thanks for any input, really just started trying to dig through old threads to learn what i could.

70/65 spool video

Billet 76/75 spool

For an extra 100-150 wheel w a cam and boost. No prob w either turbo. The spool time between the two are pretty damn close. You don’t even need a cam for that power goal.

It’s a turbo built by magnum turbos.
1yr warranty. And for the small added upcharge well worth it. Plus if ordered before the 1st free freight.
