I like Flowmasters.. 40 or 44s. But I had Magnaflow on my old truck and thought it sounded real good too. So its up to u but I would go with Flows.. just my preferance

I had magna flow and then dumped it after the cats after a little while but then got tired of the drone.
Contact RPM motorsports they deal specifically with Sy and Ty's and they could give you a good idea. They built a Ty called Ghettosled....

On both my 92 and 93 Typhoons I ran 3" from the back of the cat to the tailpipe.

The 92 was heavily modified and the 93 had just bolt-ons.

I used Dynomax Ultraflow mufflers on both

Both ran very good!

Chambered mufflers dont play well with turbochargers. The muffler needs to be a straight through design like Magnaflows.

I'd go with a 3" exhaust with no muffler, but if you had to have one, go with something like a Magnaflow or Dynomax Ultraflow.

I have a 3" on my Ty with no muffler. It gets quite a bit louder that way......so if you don't like the droning noise, try to put a muffler on.

x2.

I've used the Dynomax Ultraflows twice now and have been pretty happy with them. On a turbo vehicle they're really not that loud. On an NA engine they're not bad at idle or just off idle, but hit the throttle hard and they'll get pretty loud.

3" ultraflow on mine, but I wouldn't hesitate to run it without a muffler. It's more stealthy with one though. Losing the cat might be a bad idea though, since some have experienced boost control issues without it and the stock turbo setup. Then again some haven't. :eyes:

Totally agree. I would like to add that I experienced some lean conditions by just having a magnaflow and a K&N filter. I installed a Walbro and it went away. I think that just by changing the cat-back, I experienced surging,...not sure as I had the stock boost gauge and that thing was never working correctly. The Sy/Ty's are very temperamental IMHO when the mods start...
