Fuel starvation 04 silverado????
Is it a thing with the stock fuel bucket and maybe 1/4 tank? I have a walbro 450, return style, -6 dumping back into the bucket. I ask because a guy on another forum with a 2000 I think said he would starve for fuel below 1/2 tank. I understand it is a different, smaller bucket.
The other reason I ask is because I went to the strip last weekend and had probably 28+ gallons in the tank. I would like to up the boost and lose some weight for this weekend.
Thanks!!

I’d suggest running it back through the venturi. 3/8npt to 3/8 barb fitting threads into the venturi port perfectly. Put a 3/8 barb fitting on the bulkhead and connect the two with some submersible fuel line. While it’s apart, open up the hole in venturi, so it’ll allow your fuel pressure to get low enough with the 450. Check out this thread: https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...return-544323/

28+ gallons..... is the truck a long bed? If so your 1/4 tank fuel level will be different then a standard 26 gallon fuel level
Its also very possible to starve for fuel, my truck (02) would starve for fuel on hard launches with just a 340 pump in the bucket

OK! Thanks for the info. The truck is a 2500hd regular cab long bed 2wd. I filled up with e85 and drove 70 miles to the track, so guessing about 28 gallons. If I do go to the track this weekend, I will have to keep it full again, as I won't have time to redo it. And while I am in there I should probably just add another 450 on a hobbs switch. I think I should be fine at 14-15psi with the single walbro, though. I am at 11 psi right now with the vs 7875. May go to a t4 s475 and 3.5 downpipe.

I did go back to the track the next weekend. With 3/4 fuel it went 11.61@117 with 13psi. But now I am out of pump. I got an aem 380 external with a sump I want to get installed this weekend, and hope I can get one more run in next weekend with 15 psi and a more aggressive tune.
I am thinking of swapping everything over to a 1/2 ton 4wd. AWD transfer case with my 14 bolt and 80e. I understand it wouldn't bolt right in and the 6 lug 8 lug thing. My question is, how would an awd transfer case and 1/2 ton front axle take the power with 750whp?
