Default extending 02 sensor harness

Have searched all over, but lots of opinions on this, so turbo guys let me know what you did...

Need to lengthen the 4 wire 02 sensor connection on the passenger side of '01 4.8 to reach the turbo manifold. Solder seems out because the 02 wires are steel(? not copper anyway), some say a crimp connection works, some say the only way is to buy a plug in extension.

FWIW I have the driver side stock 02 in the stock location, the pass. side will be in the turbo manifold, and the wideband will be about 3 ft down the downpipe. Thanks.

The wires aren't steel I don't think, you can solder them. They might be aluminum or coated copper wires. Crimp connections work, so does an extension you can buy. All you're doing in lengthening the wires, there is no trickery in this.

You don't have to lengthen them. The wire's for the pass O2's run down the frame from the engine bay. You just un-clip them and pull them back and they will reach your manifold just fine.
