electronic boost control

Default electronic boost control

Does any body have pics of the STS boost controler hooked up? I have one and dont know how to run the vacuum lines.

This is how mine is hooked up. I use my vacuum/boost sources off engine vacuum vs. the compressor.

what is the difference in using the vacuum source of the intake rather then the compressor?

some say the manifold source is more accurate. i reference from the compressor so i did not have to run an extra vaccuum line up to the manifold. Try the compressor reference like in the istruction manual. It should work fine, if it doesnt then just reference from your manifold.

The engine source is more accurate. You want to work with the pressure at the motor after any loses in the piping, IC, etc.

It also gets rid of some boost drop and variances.

Hemifever's drawing is right on the money.

All you had to do was ask Avsfan. lol.

I used engine vacuum because I could never get a solid signal using the compressor as the source. I'd see 6psi, then 4, then 6, then 5, then 2, then 6. All in the same run.
