That seems backwards, actually. Usually you have boost creep when you try to run low boost and the gate for whatever reason can't flow enough exhaust. Once you turn the boost up more exhaust is forced through the turbo anyway.

Do you have a log or a video of this happening?

Well I know the 3" exhaust has a lot of back pressure on it... my magnaflow case is coming apart around the seam.

Did you check for a potato in your exhaust pipe?

Has the muffler inside collapsed?
Still does not figure into boost going up with gate into dp.

Magnaflow is straight through so shouldn't be building any kinda pressure in it especially not enough for it to split apart. Think you have something stuck in your exhaust or a defective muffler. May be a dumb question but you do have your waste gate mounted the right way right?

wastegate is mounted correctly. i cant see in the muffler because of the bend in the pipe. i will have to cut the pipe off the outlet to see in it. i saw a thread on here a while back(forgot the OP) but he blew his magnaflow apart with his FI set up as well. unless the inside of the muffler came apart and is partially blocking flow. i will find out tomorrow when i cut the pipe off the outlet and look in there.

There is nothing inside the muffler obstructing flow. I can see straight through it.

Ok that's good.
Have you tried without the boost controller to see what it acts like.
