I'm gonna have to keep my BOV quiet.
I have been pulled over spraying before... Good thing I was far enough ahead of the cop I had time to pull the hose off the bottle and he couldn't say anything

never had issues with the cops, although within NYC (not sure bout NY state, had my buddy the trooper look into it but nothing he found on the books) nitrous is grounds for 'inciting a street race' on a street vehicle and able to be confiscated.
hell I have banners on the vettes windshields saying 'east coast supercharging' for the shop that does the work.....one doesn't even have a blower, the old one was turbo and the new one has a blower. Never had an issue. my tahoe way back when had prochargers that were loud as **** and unmistakable (like guys on teh street would walk over and ask) never an issue. Hell the sub isn't as loud as the tahoe but you can hear there's 'something' extra there....never an issue.
Heck it all depends on the cops, most are decent guys. Kinda like when I got stopped in one of the vettes getting coffee on a Sat morning. Pulls me over for no front plate. (fair enough never had plates on the front of the vettes, cost of ownership to me) sure enough I have no regi or inspection sticker on the windshield (its tinted adn on plexiglass) its sitting on slicks and skinnies. no seat belt, no wallet, no insurance or registration on me, no phone. Cop is looking at me like are you serious? I said well I have my truck hooked to the trailer, I was about to leave adn go racing, picked up dog food and got coffee on the way back, was easier to take the car and not the truck. He's like why don't you have a front plate? I said well tahts an open vent to the intercooler because it runs hot. He said where's all your paperwork, I said the last race had us clean everything out of everything even the glove compartment. I pointed out the rollbar, harnesses, slicks and said honestly, do you think this is really a street car? its registered and insured you can run back to your car and call it in or look it up on the computer....it was just easier to take this for coffee vs. unhooking the truck. He just shook his head, laughed and said get out of here I've never heard an excuse like that...
I honestly get stopped all the time, sometimes a few times a month, I haven't been written a ticket in 2-3 years....and those never stuck, I've been lucky but as long as you're not being a total dick, and don't act like a dick and deny everything up and down, they're usually cool.

My oldest brother made a good point when he saw my pillar gauge pod... "There's the end of your warning tickets" I know how most of the cops are around here and if I get pulled for 10 over and they walk up to an airplane cockpit that's gonna a be a ticket just because they figured they just stopped a "street racer"

ca does have laws and police that enforce them , however trucks are usually less suspect. we do have random smog check stations and emissions testers on the side of the road , where your merging or entering an on ramp to a freeway( i.e. no escape routes ) that sample your exhaust with a sensor and if its not up to standards your mailed a smog notice.
i have been pulled over once for my engine, they just wanted to see it . they told me that they have been trained in aftermarket illeagle parts . the cool thing was that 90% of them like domestics. they actually said to me " if you were an integra we would be writing your *** up".
anything here is technically illeagle, adjustable fuel pressure, removed/relocated cats, anything that will alter emissions in the slightest.
im not really worried my truck is 100% street legal.

I know that a big ol' intercooler sticking out front is a badge of honor of sorts, but guys, to me, it looks a little ricer.
