Intercooler Worth It
Quick question for you all. I have a 8pis Powerdyne on a 6.0. I use the truck as a daily driver with a little playing around. i live in CT so we have hot and cold weather. Is it worth it to install and intercooler and what would the aprox. gains be?
Thanks guys
Thanks guys

Yes...definately. I dropped about 6 tenths off my quarter time by adding the intercooler and retuning for the cooler charge. Even with temps in the 30's, without the intercooler i was getting IAT's over 120*. Now i dont ever see anything 30* above ambient.

Perfect I got my answer. Thanks guys now I am excited. I have a 2500HD with the 34" radiator and E-fans, so I am not sure how to run the 3" piping since the intercooler needs to be in mounted in front behind the grill. Any pics of advice would be great suc has a parts list.

Hang the IC below/behind the bumper, you will have plenty of air flow, the 2500 bumper I beleive has two slots in the front, (foot holds to climb up) lol.
I did a 3" core behind my 02 grill once but it was just yuck, had to move the tranny cooler back, and the core really was not as efficent and the headache was just over the top.
btw we off a kit that is adjustable on height setting so fittng your truck should be no problem.
