You would buy the 90mm flange if you want the perfect finish of a real 90mm adapter and having the O-ring groove would be a nice touch. It would have to look stock, not like this.

Richard,

I just started reading all of the posts on this topic! Awesome stuff. Props to the guys that did some dyno testing. This is a sure mod for me. I will end up installing the 90mm with my new intake tube. Is the 90mm the same depth as the stocker (i.e. will the tube length will be the same or do I need to do more welding). My truck is far from a show truck however the look of a factory looking piece is very nice. I think alot more will be sold if the whole "J" tube can be bought with the 90mm TB and flange already done.

I'm really interested in this mod also, but my truck is now my daily driver.
so I need to do this mod over a weekend.

I would be VERY interested in going exchange for the modded J-tube in the
Non-polished (stock, stardust silver color).

I would of course pay extra $$ to do an Exchange.

Why would you reverse this modification? It works, and works well. That is going backwards in my eyes. I am sure we all have made modifications that were not reversible.....i.e. "Let me tear my 800.00 Cats apart for 10 more HP" Sorry, I don't agree one bit with this thought process. Either way it is not reversible, cut up the existing flange, or weld on a new one....both are permanent.

No. This would have to be a customer change.

How about just adding a plate between the new TB and your J-tube??
That would make it reveseable.
Maybe some type of jig plate made up for the do it yourselfers to drill and tap the J-tube to mount the adapter plate to?
A soft brass or copper gasket between the two parts would seal well with some permatex on it.
Or just leace he gasket out and use the sealant alone?
I'd be willing to make up a plate if someone provided dimensions or parts to reverse engineeer from.
It would be a pretty easy part to make.
