The electronic one STS sells is like the second one with a HOBS switch so you can set it on high or low setting from the cab once you have the regulator adjusted to your high setting. The convenience and being able to change it from the cab is worth it to me. I would check it out before you buy. I had some complaints and they sold one to me for $50 to help out.

The instructions in your second post look correct to the wastegate. The line to the base opens the wastegate when the spring in the wastegate is overcome with boost pressure. The line to the top helps to hold the wastegate shut and you adjust that with the **** on the regulator. It applies some boost pressure along with the spring pressure to hold the wastegate shut until boost pressure at the base overcomes both the spring and added boost pressure at the top fitting.

More boost is addictive....LOL. Keep a close eye on fuel pressure, timing (KR) and AFR. Things happen fast when you turn it up....

Just a quick ? On the Tial WG... The line going in the base of the spring is referenced off the manifold and the fitting on the top is open to the atomsphere ??? That's what the destructions say lol.

Yep, that is correct when you just want to run off the spring.

How is the hobbs switch setup? Does it come with a solenoid?

Ive already boosted it to 14# EEK....
Im running COS3 with EFI Live so anything over 5# boost it has a very steep curve on pulling timing. And my VE table has a steep curve in it so its plenty rich..

The HOBBS switch is identical to the one under the hood that vents the PCV to atmosphere when you are under boost. The solenoid is built into the HOBBs switch itself. You put a toggle switch in the cab and supply 12v to the HOBBs switch through it to turn from the low to high setting. On the low setting it vents the boost through the mechanical regulator to the atmosphere and on the high setting it routes the boost pressure from the regulator to the top of the wastegate.

ROGER THAT!!!

So that PCV thingy im not using right now.. i can use it to put inbetween the Top of the wastegate and the Regulator? So it vents it to the atmosphere until i "energize" the pcv thingy ma bobber.. I have an idea....

Thanks MORT!!
