Its a RCSB 2WD Not THAT heavy for a truck.
I plan on putting a 3k stall in it, stock for now. The plan is 650 lift springs and push rods, maybe work the 862's a little as well down the road.

Op, I ran 10.97 @ 125 with a TU1, th400, 3.42 gears, bones stock heads, intake and tb, with a tiny 76/64 on3 turbo on 14 psi on pump 93. No longer running that turbo bc it was done at 14 psi but it was enough for 10's

Proven boost cams come from isky and speed inc. A bunch of other people make "boost" cams, but they all seem to perform about the same. Isky and speed inc are the only ones I have seen prove their value over other cams.

Took a look at speed inc, they have a 228/228 turbo cam as well, TU1.5
I might be able to have my cake and eat it too..

I dont understand what makes a cam a turbo cam..People claim say.. an ls9 cam 211/230, is better for boost..other say 212/212. You would think a boost specific cam would be one way or the other..whats the pros and cons of having a split number cam?

That pass was probably ~625-650 rwhp. That TU1.5 sounds good, it wasnt available when I got mine, if it was I probably wouldve went that route

Low overlap, reduce cylinder bleed off and reversion. Generally don't need a bunch of duration. It's forced induction so you don't need to try and scavenge as much as possible on the intake stroke as a NA setup. A duration split slightly favoring the exhaust doesn't seem to hurt. Least that's my idea and understanding of a boost cam.

Understand that supercharger boost and Turbocharger boost are not the same when it comes to cams. Turbos are a bit less picky IMO with cam specs, a supercharger typically likes more duration on the exhaust side as the intake side is being forced in and the exhaust size needs a bit more time to clear out. Myself I would never run a LS9 cam with a turbo, granted people have done it but that does not mean that it is the best choice. Out of the two you mentioned I would run the 212 cam hands down any day of the wk over the LS9 with a turbo.
