Default 99-02 behind grill 4 intercooler

alright so Im getting ready to start my install on my 02 4.8 rcsb. Kit I have came with a 4 IC. Upon looking behind my grill, there aint a ton of room for anything! Im thinking Im gonna have to hack up the a frame, tuck the IC right up against the AC condenser, and find some room for the trans cooler (maybe between rad/condenser? Im looking for ideas/advice from anyone whos done a behind the grill IC on a 99-02. Pics of your IC piping/routing would be helpful as well. The headlight brackets will of course be hacked up to get the 3 pipe through.

I mounted my 4 ic the way you described and still had to trim the lower part of the grill. I also mounted the trans cooler in between the radiator and condenser. The engine does have some cooling issues in real hot weather. Going to try a radiator upgrade someday...

hmm yes Ive now heard that from a couple fellas, that the 28 rad is not up to the task. The 34 rad will just make things that much harder to route pipes around. What fans are you running?

F-body fans. Thats actually another place for improvement. They dont fit very tight to the radiator. Im probably loosing some efficiency with the big gaps on the sides...
