Kit I have came with a 4” IC. Upon looking behind my grill, there ain’t a ton of room for anything! I’m thinking I’m gonna have to hack up the a frame, tuck the IC right up against the AC condenser, and find some room for the trans cooler (maybe between rad/condenser? I’m looking for ideas/advice from anyone who’s done a behind the grill IC on a 99-02. Pics of your IC piping/routing would be helpful as well. The headlight brackets will of course be hacked up to get the 3” pipe through. |
By chance have you contacted The person that built the kit? |
I mounted my 4” ic the way you described and still had to trim the lower part of the grill. I also mounted the trans cooler in between the radiator and condenser. The engine does have some cooling issues in real hot weather. Going to try a radiator upgrade someday... |

F-body fans. That’s actually another place for improvement. They don’t fit very tight to the radiator. I’m probably loosing some efficiency with the big gaps on the sides... |
Check out my build thread, i have mine done exactly as your looking to do
