Default Borg Warner recommendation for 5.3L

I have a 05 crew cab cammed (isky triple 12) 5.3L with a front mounted Magnum t72, p trim, .81 a/r ball bearing turbo @ 8-9 psi. I'm looking to ugrade not so much for more rwhp but to let the motor breath/flow better through the turbo and that distinct BW whistle.

I know there's no way I can fit a BW s400 in there as I still want to be able to use my Trick performance hot pipe (t4 flange). So I'm looking at the BW s300 series and any recommendation of sizes. The s366 ett caught my eye, would I be downgrading using this turbo? Also I have a 3" dp, how much would that affect turbo performance since the turbo outlet is 4plus inches.

Looking forward to any Borg Warner recommendations!

Looks to be a little large exhaust side.
Should flow better.

The s400sx3's are t4...the 74 or 76 would be great!

S475 83mm 1.0 ar t4. Youll have to fab up a new down pipe.

They make a compact s400 now BTW... Closer to the size of a s300. But like I said, just give Reed a call and tell him what you have and what you want and he will hook you up!

Just messaged works turbo. So is the s300 series turbo too small for a 5.3? Fabbing up a downpipe would be so much easier with this turbo. Again, not looking for max power but something more efficient for daily driver.

I'm about ready to install my S468 1.10 A/R T6 on my 5.3 in a few weeks.
