Talking 4.8L 643hp@12.8psi on Kbracing compound turbo set up

Kyle and I went to Patrick G in Victoria TX yesterday for a little dyno tuning on the 4.8L compound set up. We had issues with the waste gates opening up to soon and not letting the compound kit do its thing. Basically all of the exhaust is bypassing the small turbo and going straight into the big turbo. Once we get this fixed this thing is going to be a beast down low. We were only able to get 12.8psi out of the set up and it made 643hp and 557tq. All of the power is coming in up top so that lets us know the small turbo was just along for the ride. This to me is exciting news, cant wait to get the small turbo spooled up to see what its going to do down low. Kyle is thinking a stronger spring for the upper waste gate and a set of manual boost controllers will do the trick. Either way I am very happy with this set up! Cant wait to see what 20psi will do.

Thats pretty sweet man! Any pics of the setup of is it still top secret?

Would be awesome to have a flat, broad, "blower-like" torque curve using turbos

Still damn impressive peak numbers from relatively low boost! Love it.

Yeah that's what really go me!. This think is making awesome power at 12.8psi. I was browsing other threads and came across one guy making 670hp at 18psi on a stock 4.8. I dropped the truck off to get the alignment fixed and then its going back to Kyles to get a set of 3:73 gears installed and the wastegate issues fixed. There's nothing top secret on this kit other then the turbo size and hot side routing. hahaaha
