390" LS engine

AES 390ci - Now with Callies Dragonslayer crankshaft - LS1TECH

Anyone run a 390" combo in a truck/suv? Specifically, a forced inducted application?

I've been eyeballing one of those myself....

If I was starting out new I would probably go with a 390 from them.

I love my 383 but would likely buy one of these should a major catastrophe occur. I think it would make a great boost platform. And CP pistons with Callies crank? Perfect.

Theres been a couple of claimed owners of the package, but I keep waiting for the guys on Tech to finish their cars and get some track outings. I keep thinking either a 390 with the AES custom crank or a nice 383 would be my next truck motor choice.

If I got a built motor it would be one of them. Aes seems top notch and are no joke if callies was making custom cranks for them in an affordable package. They also have a bigger bore 410 version

This!!!!! :D Big bore package sounds awesome!!!

I wonder if it would be worth it to spend the dough on some WCCH Pro heads or other similar big dollar heads with a shortblock like this if using a TVS2300 blower......

Yes, definately worthwhile in my opinion. When I called Fraser and asked that exact same question, I believe he recommended AFR heads with around a 220 port? Not 100% certain on that port size.

Sweet!
