BTW, among other improvements, that hub has "150% more lube holes."

He is retired and building the business for his son to eventually take over. All reviews are positive except for one review from a guy that never even bought anything.

So I'd like to believe that this guy is doing just that; passing the savings on while he builds the business and can benefit from the low overhead of a home shop. Assuming it is legit, I think we need more guys like this in the hobby. So I'm throwing my 2300 bones down as a bet that I'll get a great transmission.
Sounds like a good gig to me. I wouldn't mind making $400 per trans as a hobby myself. It's the customers that end up being the problem.

Maybe not progress per se, but "more stuff."

6.2 arrived; looks in pretty good shape and seems to turn over smoothly but firmly.

Also some hot and cold side coating from Techline.

How much did you find the 6.2 for? They're spendy everywhere I look.

I grabbed it in the "lucky" time after Christmas and before taxes. Too good to pass up. Would just be heli-coiling the few holes on the 5.3 but can probably sell the 5.3 now and get a lot of my investment back. If I get off my butt and sell it. Might just be garage furniture for a while.

Some more goodies:
LT4 High Pressure Pump, injectors
LT1 Intake

Anyone have an opinion of the usefulness of the intake in a boosted application?

Also anyone with LT4 injectors that might tell me the number on the side? Box and part don't match but I'm not worried...yet. Bought brand new so can return.

Thanks!

In general terms usually GM designs the truck intake for strong low end and mid range torque as opposed to high RPM peak power numbers. The car intakes are also designed with packaging in mind (hood clearance). I would be willing to bet the truck intake is better in also everything below 6500 RPM
