2010 5.3 (LC9) injector upgrade advice

Still in the process of upgrading my Silverado and looking for suggestions on injectors.

First off, not sure I "need" to upgrade them with the Whipple 2.3 blower kit setup but I can't see how I wouldn't. If I'm wrong and wasting money, please advise... The system out of the box re-uses the stock 37# flex-fuel injectors, MAF and TB.

With that was looking at a set of L96 as a direct swap that get to 50# over the stock 37#. I'm open to other suggestions, I am just unfamiliar with specific injectors and additional mods/adapters that would be needed. I have seen mention of running 60# Deka injectors, just that I'm a noob and unsure which ones and what else would be needed...

EDIT: I guess it helps to indicate the goals. Looking to end up with 450+ RWHP (guessing around 550 at the crank with driveline losses) but would prefer room to grow a little. 500 at the wheels seems a little unrealistic on stock bottom end but holding out hope! Already online for LT headers and full exhaust, porting heads and going w/2" intake valves, new cam and 450 Walpro fuel pump to go with the Whipple 2.3 running roughly 10# of boost with the 3.5" pulley. Just don't want to hit a wall with the injectors or push them to 90+ duty cycle.

Thanks!

Get the 50lb.hr 6.0 injectors or the 52lb/hr 6.2 truck injectors. All that data is direct plug and play from stock tune files. I'd never buy deka injectors when there are so many better options out there.

I wouldn't want the stock 5.3 injectors with the power that engine could be making.

What are the 6.2 injector P/N and are they flex-fuel capable? Checking to see if this is the L92 or L9H?

Yeah, you can run E85 through them. I think one of the part numbers is 12609749.

I bought some flex fuel 6.0's that were rebuilt for less than $140 some time last year. I'm sure the 6.2 injectors are likely a similar cost.

Don't fuk around with small injectors, you will instantly get hooked on boost and want more. Lol. Go ahead and get enough injector for 550 rwhp, mine still have room to grow at about 800 crank. A good tuner can make them idle fine they just smell a tad rich when it's cold out...

FYI, stock bottom end is good to about 1000 crank, mine is stock bottom end and I daily drive it and I'm not nice to it.

Agreed and that's why I'm looking to upgrade but you didn't mention, what are good options?

From what I'm seeing, the L96 injectors on a 5.3 (boosted) are good to about 700hp based on flowing roughly #50 in our setup. Added benefit are being direct replacements....

The 50-52lb/hr range on just pump gas should be plenty if the air fuel ratio is not absurdly rich.

E85 would be near the limit though. So we should be on the right path for keeping it simple.

I'm running Injector Dymanics 105. Buy good injectors and it will pay off in power.

Appreciate all of the advice!

Going with the L96 50# injectors. Should pair well with the 450 fuel pump, hope get up and running soon!

Thanks!
