Default 2000hp reg cab

Ok, thinking forward a bit.

Curious to get some input from some of the smarter and more experienced on this site.

This would be a race truck that's street capable. Something that could absolutely rip your head off light to light.

Would start with a 4wd regular cab. What year would be preferred?
Truck would probably get Wilwood big brakes
How many cubic inches? LSX or Dart block?
What heads?
Turbo would be a GTX55-98. Who would you have build the kit?
Massive 5" Garrett A/A IC
Would a fully built 4l80 be up to the task? Or would a TH400 be required? Transbrake would be a must this time around.
Which rear end? 9.5 14 bolt? Strange 9"?
Would it be stupid to think the 1500 front differential could handle? Is it possible to swap to the 3/4 ton front end stuff?
What computer system would you run? Dominator?
What fuel? C16? E85?
Belt driven fuel pump or multiple electric pumps (or a combo of both?)
No A/C
Race seats with Atomic brackets. Cage and all the necessary safety.

Could this all be done with a budget of 100k?

Absolutely doable. If you have any more questions, holler.

Just to be specific, I'm talking about 2000 at the tire all the way up.

GMCtrk,

Twin 76s or bigger. Minimum cubic inch we would recommend (for a "street friendly application") would be 440 ci. Only because it's easier to make the power and won't strain everything so hard. E85. Dart block. TH400 preferably. Strange 9". Holley EFI is so user friendly it's hard to turn down. Tune on the fly with the touch screen, really is an excellent setup. Unless you get with someone like Fore innovations to have a quadruple pump made, go belt driven.

Are you wanting to stay 4wd? 1500 Front diff will detonate no matter what you do to it at that level and stock 3/4 ton stuff will too. You are WAY beyond the abuse that thing was designed to handle. Check out some of the off-roading sites, there a few guys running high horsepower and abuse them like a red headed step child. Definitely gonna need to add a transfer case to the list as well. If at all possible a bias adjustable transfer case (be able to adjust power front to rear) would be sweet. At 2,000hp level, you might as well figure everything will need to be billet, hardened, top shelf or custom built and most likely extremely expensive if you expect it to be somewhat reliable.

Will definitely be looking for the build thread on this!

I was going to try this on the truck that I sold to Joseph. Had twin 68mm borgs, 4L85e...plan was the LSX376. 40psi would have done it lol.

At that level, few people have experience. It would have to be purpose-built, well designed, and completely thought out if you wanted any amount of reliability while making that power. Define your requirements in detail and then choose parts and combinations from there.

Yes. Largest chunk will go to the engine package.

If all the safety stuff comes into play the chassis will be the next largest amount of funds.

See what brydman11 does in his 404 @ only 16psi. Not 2000 but hasn't even begun to push it.

Might look into a twin set up over a big single since you mentioned street stuff.

He says he wants it totally streetable. For this budget and HP requirement, I wouldn't think about anything other than a BBC.
