I have to get my truck inpected in April and I wonder if I can leave my clear corner lenses on or do I have to put the stockers back on to pass NJ inspection. Does anybody know for sure? The corners that I have now don't have an amber reflector, just amber bulbs...thanx!!

Federal requirement for reflectors, but they may or may not notice. And as far as cats go, it depends on the place inspecting. I passed with long tubes and no cats.
It all depends on where you go and how much you pay.....

FWIW, I gave it a shot today and passed...I was curious and had to know. I had my stockers in a box in the bed so if I failed I could go up the block, swap em out and run right back through
I kept my lights on so the amber bulb in the corner would give off the amber appearance. Not sure if it helped or not but at least I have a good sticker for the next 2 years

...little story: I had an old dodge truck (84) that had a glasspack on and went to NJ inspection with it. It failed for being way too loud. I went home and stuffed about 2 feet of steel wool up the tailpipe, drilled a small hole after the "plug" and slid in a 4" nail to hold it back. Went back to the same inspection station, the guy looked under the truck saw I still had the GP on and said no way, "STEP ON THE GAS!" I gave it a nice push to about 3K and it was quiet as a cat in the grass
He actually got in the truck and gave it a few revs. PASSED!!! Went out the end of the inspection station and floored it, the steel wool turd blew out and the exhaust sound echoed through the station. Wish I saw the guys face. And no, he didn't tear up my paperwork, did the same thing the following year and passed (...before the 2 year stickers).
